Edith Widder: Glowing life in an underwater world | Video on TED.com

This is a five star TED example I enjoyed about bioluminescence in the ocean. View the video several times and take Cornell Notes. Organize your notes and post to your blog what you learned from this scientist about bioluninescent animals and about science.

Challenge: Investigate more about one of the bioluminescent animals mentioned in the video. Create a cartoon series about the sea creature that explains how it finds food, attracts a mate in the dark, and avoids being eaten. Post pictures of your cartoon creations on your blog.

Imagine how fun it would be to take a ride in a submersible to the deep sea.
