The main goal of this Tech Toad Elective is to 1.) explore technology tools and equipment, to learn how to use them, to teach them to others and 2.) to figure out how the tech tools can be used to get educated so they can be used to contribute ideas to improve the quality of life on our planet for all living species.
Each blog post will include an example of something we want you to try. Explore the tool and follow the directions of the tasks you need to do before you post what you learned or created to your blog. Always attempt the Challenge activity when you are ready. If you need help search online, ask your peers, or ask your teacher.
Let's start with a site where brilliant ideas are shared by a variety of people from all around the world. The site is free for all to use. Check out this site to find new topics to explore. Pick one example from TED talks that you found interesting and post to your blog what you learned from the speaker.
Challenge: Share this site with a teacher and watch a TED talk together. Ask your teacher how the talk could be used for a lesson with their students and post their answers along with the TED talk link to your blog.
